Hello, my name is Shawn Douglas Brown and I am a 3D character animator and generalist. My time in the military has taught me to be versatile and adaptable, and this has translated directly into my art and creative work.

This versatility has pushed me to learn every aspect of the 3D pipeline, allowing me to fill any role within a team. During my time at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I had the opportunity to lead several teams, taking on responsibilities as a concept lead, animation lead, and lighting lead.

My ability to adapt has also driven me to become proficient in a wide range of 3D software, including Maya, Blender, Houdini, Substance, Unreal 5, and the entire Adobe Creative Suite. An example of this adaptability in action was my work creating graphics for the CBS Sports Super Bowl 58 broadcast.

When my team needed a specialist in texturing, and we didn't have anyone with that expertise, I took it upon myself to learn Substance in order to texture the entire concept within an incredibly tight 8-hour timeframe. I was able to deliver what the team needed to meet the strict deadline.

For me, the team is the most important part of any creative endeavor. Being able to support my colleagues and contribute in whatever way is needed is always my primary goal. This collaborative mindset, combined with my diverse technical skills, has allowed me to be a valuable asset on every project I've been a part of.

As a 3D character animator and generalist, I bring a unique blend of adaptability, technical expertise, and a team-focused approach to my work. I'm proud of what I've been able to accomplish so far, and I'm excited to continue growing and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of 3D animation and visual effects.
